For some adults with learning difficulties, having a designated creative space can provide a sense of independence and freedom to express themselves.
Being creative encourages the development of new skills and boosts confidence levels. Our students run their own creative social enterprise at CREATE, making items to sell, and serving snacks and drinks from the café alongside volunteers and staff. Every penny you spend here goes back into helping us to provide essential services and supporting the students in their endeavours.
Paint Your Own Pottery
Our shop and studio is open to the public, and is equipped with various art tools, paints, paintbrushes and pottery items to use throughout your session. The process is quick and easy to start, but you are in no rush once the painting begins! Unleash your inner artist by following four simple steps:
Choose a piece of pottery
Create your design
Select your glazes, sponges or stencils
Begin painting!
Once your masterpiece is finished, leave your creation with us, and we will have it fired and ready for collection within 7 – 10 days. We provide a selection of food and drink options to purchase during your painting session with us. Most of the delicious treats have been Freshly Made by our service users.

Bespoke Retail and Makers Market
Our students have their own social enterprise items for sale on site, which they have created themselves. We also work with local artists, makers and traders to showcase their work and sell unique items to users of CREATE, with a percentage of the sale going to The Bridge. We are keen to provide artists a platform to raise their profile and connect with the public. Contact us to learn more.
Events at Create
Please get in touch with a member of our team if you would like to organise a party, gathering, corporate or social event at CREATE. We are adaptable and can manipulate the space to work best for you and your guests, from kids’ birthday parties to Hen parties, or corporate team-building days. We encourage communication to ensure we can meet your expectations so please contact us today!
