The Bridge Project Announces Departure of CEO Dave Jackson

The Bridge Project in Sudbury regrets to announce that Dave Jackson, its esteemed CEO, will be moving on to a new role in youth work this August. Dave has been an invaluable member of the Bridge team since October 2021, bringing his boundless energy, enthusiasm, and empathy to the organisation.

During his tenure, Dave has successfully secured several significant grants, including £234,000 from the National Lottery, enabling the Bridge to advance its plans for a purpose-built site and to expand its educational and community initiatives. His has notably developed a highly skilled senior team capable of continuing the Bridge’s important work.

The Bridge Project is now commencing the search for a new CEO, with recruitment commencing in September. In the interim, the organisation is pleased to announce the appointment of Lucy Humphrey as Interim CEO. Lucy brings with her a wealth of leadership experience, having spent over 12 years with the Suffolk social enterprise Leading Lives, where she is currently the Managing Director. Whilst on secondment Lucy will continue with her role in parallel at Leading Lives. 

Lucy says “I’m excited and flattered that Leading Lives have been approach because it shows that the partnerships we have been developing and the recent work we have undertaken has been effective. The Bridge Project has an excellent reputation and huge social impact. I’m looking forward to working closely with the Senior Leadership team, and everyone involved in the charity.

Lucy’s extensive leadership skills and deep understanding of third sector development ensure that the Bridge Project’s important initiatives will continue to thrive during this transitional period.
